MINIMALLY INVASIVE ROBOTIC SURGERY

Minimally Invasive Robotic Surgery is performed when less invasive surgery is desired. Small incisions are made to accommodate the small surgical instruments that are used to view the abdominal contents and perform the surgery.

(five tiny ports into abdomen for Four-Arm Robot)

Robotic surgery relies on the principles of laparoscopic urologic surgery and offers patients an option to traditional surgery. This remarkable technology allows surgeons to operate in an entirely new way. The addition of the robotic surgical system allows significant improvement in surgical precision beyond the limits of the human hand.

The da Vinci Surgical System is the only commercially available technology that can provide the surgeon with the intuitive control, range of motion, fine tissue manipulation capability, and 3-D visualization characteristic of open surgery, while simultaneously allowing the surgeon to work through small ports of minimally invasive surgery

  • Short hospital stay
  • Fast recovery
  • Very little or no pain
  • Small incisions
  • Minimal scarring
